Procedure details and treatment flow
Laser operation of hemorrhoids represents a modern approach to the treatment of hemorrhoidal disease, especially in patients in whom conservative therapy no longer gives a satisfactory result. During the procedure, laser energy it is applied in a targeted manner in the treated hemorrhoid, which reduces the blood flow and achieves its gradual withdrawal.
Compared to classical surgical methods, the laser enables more precise work on the tissue and significantly more comfortable postoperative flow. Therefore, this method is a common choice for patients who want a reliable result with a shorter recovery.
Advantages of the procedure
- shorter procedure duration compared to classic operative methods
- lower intensity of pain and discomfort after the intervention
- reduced risk of bleeding and infection
- precise work on the tissue with a faster return to daily activities
Preparation and course of intervention
- before the procedure, an examination is performed and, if necessary, additional diagnostics, such as a rectoscopy or colonoscopy
- the procedure is performed under analgosedation
- the recovery and control plan is determined individually according to the findings and complaints of the patient
Recovery and possible side effects
As after any surgical procedure, mild and temporary reactions may occur, such as minor swelling, bleeding or feeling of tension in the treated region. Compared to classic hemorrhoid surgery, these phenomena are usually milder they last shorter.
Correct postoperative care is equally important for a good result, which is why the patient receives clear instructions about nutrition, therapy, hygiene and control examinations.
