Laser treatment of varicose veins, i.e. endovenous laser ablation, is modern and reliable method of treating venous reflux and larger superficial veins. The procedure is intended for patients with ultrasound the examination confirmed that the diseased vein can no longer conduct blood properly.

During the procedure, a thin laser fiber is introduced into the vein under ultrasound control, and thermal energy precisely closes it lumen. In this way, the pathological blood flow is interrupted, the complaints are reduced and the further progression of the disease is prevented.

Compared to classic surgery, this approach involves less tissue trauma, the absence of large incisions, and more comfort postoperative course for the patient.

Results and recovery

Laser vein ablation is today considered one of the most effective methods of treating varicose veins and it is to a large extent replaced classic surgery in modern practice. In properly selected patients, it achieves excellent medical and aesthetic results.

After the intervention, temporary bruising, a feeling of tightness, mild sensitivity or a short-term change may occur sensitivity along the treated vein. These phenomena are most often expected and transient, and the intensity is generally much lower in compared to the classic operative approach.

Compression therapy and controls are planned individually. If necessary, additional treatments of smaller veins are included later or capillary so that the final result is complete and long-lasting.
